It's been onehellofa long winter. I've been so struck by cabin fever I couldn't even make up my mind on today's afternoon of decor shopping.
Today I went from store to store and browsed the isles looking for the right piece to inspire another nook or cranny of our home. Typically I'll find one thing I won't even think twice about not getting but not today. I felt as if I was taking inventory but nothing was jumping out at me. Ever have one of those days?
In the end I came away with this basket piece for the kitchen dinette. So far the dogs toys have found a home in the lower basket but the upper remains empty.
I'm also ready to break down and purchase nesting herb crates if I can not find them or something similar at my 'last ditch effort' antique store in town.
This week promises to be a very busy week so please excuse my absence from blog land until I can take a moment to breathe. Between the kids after school schedules, my Dad's doctor & physical therapy appointments, hubby's doctor & work schedule and my own schedule I may just need an extra pot of coffee brewing. However, I can tell you I'm looking forward to a very special delivery on Monday. The trucking company called Friday to schedule the delivery to make sure I was home Monday afternoon.
I'll leave you with that little teaser.

Every time I shop I have the sensation that there is NOTHING I want. Catalogs, however, present another experience entirely. Good luck this week!
I'm totally in line with you. Every time I have money to spend there is nothing I want. Every time I don't have money to spend, I find what I want. Go. Figure. Have a great weekend! Hope you get to catch some of the Olympics!
