So a girls gotta take time out from playing nurse maid to decorate for the holidays and get her craft on. I decided to attempt the ornament wreaths that are in fashion this year.
We have french patio doors in my dining room so I've made two of them (one for each door). I've sent out this photo to relatives and they are all hinting about wanting one. Okay they've pretty much asked for step by step directions or point blank asked me to make one for them but I will wait until the after Christmas sales are in full swing and perhaps make them some for other upcoming Holidays.
In addition to the crafting, we've installed some crown build up in our dining room. I've been busy painting both the moulding and re-touching up the walls. Here are some pictures of the crown moulding in process.
Step 1 - Mark all the studs
Step 2 - Start adding a crap load of moulding for the build-up process (3 pieces to our crown moulding build-up) and painting.
I've been contemplating a faux painting in the ceiling tray reminiscent of Venetian plaster but that would be a first for me; faux painting. If anyone has any tips on the process due tell.

OMG! Your wreath looks fabulous! I'll take a picture of mine soon. I did add more ball ornaments to my wreath...
Beautiful wreath! I covet your crown moulding and ceiling. So lovely.
