For those of you still reading my blog I have to say your a hardy bunch for hanging in there! It's been busy here with home projects and blogging just seems to fall to the bottom of the list lately.
I have honored hubby's request by not purchasing any new wood working projects (ie - no furniture makeovers) until he finishes the waterproofing of the basement but he said absolutely nothing about painting or shopping for decor. In fact, he's admitted that after 5 years of living here our house is pretty bare. Well say no more my dear!
I've changed our sea of beige master bath to a medium toned green. I'm not sure I got the green exactly as I wanted but it's much better than the first gallon of mint green we tried. Yup that's right, I've painted this bathroom twice. The first green (hubby picked out) felt as if I was taking a bath in mint green ice cream. It's great to eat but not so much for taking a bath in.
The color you see below is leaps and bounds darker than the mint green. In fact once it was up hubby thought it added a 'richness' to the room and we perhaps could have gone even darker. Love you honey but I just can't paint a third coat right now. What do you think? Darker?
Here's my side of the sink configuration. Don't worry ~ it's not this clean everyday! I wanted to save myself some embarrassment.
Here's hubbys side of the vanity. Totally the man's side right?!
The room still needs more 'dressing' as most would say but I think it's a huge improvement over the sea of beige walls and tiles. I did pick this not so little jar up this week (50% off) and plan on searching for some great items to display inside her in the upcoming weeks.
I think she'll go nicely on my side of the room with a couple more vintage items but of course that means I'll have to visit the second hand store along with all the clearance isles at my local haunts. Hee hee!

I love that color green! Same color as my office!! Have a nice weekend!
Don't worry about blogging, we all get busy!!
Well, glad you're back to blogging. LOVE the bathroom, the color is gorgeous! And might I add I'm a tad jealous of your tub!
I want to go shopping with you! :->
You are so inspiring. I keep making lists of things I would like to paint/redo, but I have yet to do them.
I like the shade of green. (Your dresser is so beautiful too!)
Green looks good in my opinion.
Have a creative weekend :)
I'd give anything to have even one bathroom look as nice & updated as yours. We live in a 60 yr. old house that we remodeled when we moved in 24 years ago... Hubby thinks that re-roofing & painting the exterior is remodeling these days, LOL!
Hey! I think that's the same color I painted my 1/2 bath earlier this summer. Beautiful!
