The other day I was tooling around the blog-o-sphere and had to laugh at my good friend Chris's post about her children's rooms. Apparently she was grounding them because their rooms were a mess. Upon viewing her pictures I had to laugh and promised her I would post my son's room for her review.
Well ~ here it is in all it's glory. Keep in mind we do get on him CONSTANTLY to pick up his room but to no avail. My next tactic will be to take things away (place them under lock & key) until he can prove he can keep his room clean with less. Eventually I hope to be able to give him more of his toys back as he shows more responsibility.
What do you think? What are your strategies to keeping your kids rooms clean? I'm gladly taking your advice.

Big Baskets. When it's just clutter, have them throw everything into the baskets then offer a reward for the good work. That always worked for me. Well, that and a maid, lol.
Now that my kids are teens, I take away their iTouch and cellphone. Works like a charm.
