It's been such a cold long winter here even this little 'dandy' makes us smile. Well, until we find the weed killer that is.

Let's turn our attention to other more pleasing spring sightings shall we. The first Magnolia of the year.

The Red Bud is getting ready to show off with some serious flare.

It's hard not to have a smile with tulips swaying to the breeze.

My mouth is already eagerly watering looking at this strawberry flower.

Here's my latest puzzle. See those Boysenberry bushes ... they will be a great source of jam this season but the wall behind them needs some attention. I've picked up three trellises but can't seem to find a vine that will adore the shade of this north east facing wall. Any ideas?

Let's take a moment to sit on my newly refinished wicker and think about those vines. While we are here do you think I need some outdoor pillows to help enhance these chairs? Glasses of red wine while we think about these very important issues is certainly in order.

Stacy - Clematis is all I'm really coming up with as well. I already have two purple so perhaps a red would be nice and flashy with the dark purple/black berries.
