This week is proving to be an exciting week. Not only have we celebrated the coming of spring with warm weather and the promise of tulips peeking out from the earth, there are many projects waiting in the wings.

If you've been visiting my sight regularly you've no doubt noticed changes from day to day. I guess you could say spring cleaning has no boundaries in my world. All I can say is if you are a dust bunny you better relocate fast because when I'm in this mood you don't stand a chance.

One project completed around here is our garage spring cleaning/remodel. Imagine everything remotely related to summer gardening, wood cutting, and toys lumped in piles. No cabinets and piles of dust an hour of soaking in the tub couldn't get off.

Now that your seeing that image take a look at my new garden work area.

It's nice to change things up from time to time, wipe a few layers of dust off and just generally straighten things up.

What spring projects are you tackling over the next week or so?
Are you feeling confident about them?
What do you find works best to bring out your tenacity?

  1. Oh that is a good feeling to get it done, isn't it? My garage is on next weekend's agenda. And garden clean-up. Just the thought of things looking nice again keeps me after it.

I got out the Big Black Trash Bags and cleared out a bunch of crap that has just been hanging around my bedroom. Tucked here, stuffed there. I got it all. Feels absolutely divine. I love spring cleaning, and I love organizing even more.

What works best? Well... hmmm... having a party. If I know that people are coming over I'm crazy about every corner of the house!

We just got back from a week-long trip to visit in-laws and I can't believe how dirty the house was upon our return. Do I really live like this?!? (Well, the fact that my mother-in-law has no young children and a housekeeper once a week does make a difference. But still! I'm disgusted with myself. Ugh. Time for some wine.)

  4. I have so much to do. Can only take it slowly, though, and celebrate little steps. I even have furniture (inherited) in the attic that belonged to deceased family members. Thought my kids would want some of it, but I really must do something NOW.
