March is just around the corner and for many of you reading this on Monday it's already here. I have a secret. March is one of my favorite months. Why? Well there's the obvious celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Second, typically Spring starts to show itself around here.
See, after a long winter in the Midwest I can have quite the Spring 'to do' list. Last year adding tile to the laundry room was top on the list. I know, I know, typically the laundry room is the last place you want to spend any amount of money much less time ~ right? I'm with you but as a Mom most of my day is spent either in the laundry room, kitchen or office. I am also a firm believer in creating areas within your house where you can feel happy at home. Given that I loathe 'the laundry' and therefore creating a inviting laundry room is a must.
As many of you know hubby is quite handy and loves to have the satisfaction of a project done by himself. Here are some pictures of the preparation.
We've got tile, levels, pitchers of water, the vacuum, mud, towels and buckets ... everywhere. See the sink? It is so deep it holds a 5 gallon bucket. Perfect for washing our little noise maker.
After a couple of days here's the end result - He does pretty good work huh?
I have some mini blinds on the window with a chocolate valance and above the sink is a small wall mirror framed in brushes nickle. We ended the project here because we are cash operation and the cash was out.

This spring I am eyeing up getting the walls behind the washer & dryer area done. So what's on your 'to do' list this spring?
He does great work!
I love the colors of St. Patrick's Day, so nice and bright!
On my list is begging your hubby to come here!!! That is absolutely wonderful!!!
By the way ~ I'm having a little giveaway to celebrate my 100th post! [It's hard for me to believe!]
Please spread the word, drop by, and share the ♥!
Oh Man! My hubby can barely even tighten a screw with an electric screwdriver! You are one lucky lady. I'd be happy if my man could just get up off his arse and do anything other than watch sports & the food network. Yes, he's a hopeless couch potato & I'm a hopeless nag who tries to do it all herself, anyway. SIGH.
Wait! Last month Mr. Snoots spent about 30 minutes out front pulling weeds, piled them behind a planter, and they are still there. I rest my case...
When he pulls out any kind of power tool, I get very scared & start praying for his appendages, lol.
WOW!! It looks great. If he feels like painting you can send him my way. We bought a new house and have been painting for what seems like an eternity. It really is beautiful!
